Self drive :- You drive and operate the Truck Mounted Access Platform  (mewp)


As you are going to be driving and operating the Platform / Cherrypicker yourself, we will require that you come to our office and complete the necessary paperwork. You will need to bring your driving licence and proof of address. We always carry out a familiarisation handover, and we go through the safety procedures, which will include setting up of the platform and the emergency lowering procedure. Sufficient time will be made available for you to familiarise yourself with the operational procedures. Once completed, further hires will only need the hire contract to be signed. You can then drive the platform and operate it yourself, up to the duration of the  hire contract, normally an 8 hr period anytime, day or night



Operated Hire:- An operator will bring the  Access platform  to your work site at the appropriate time


The operator will operate the Platform / Cherrypicker in the London area on your behalf, with the cherrypicker that will be from within the basket.

The operator will be happy to offer assistance when up in the basket in anyway he can. Driving licence and familiarisation hand over will not be necessary for this option, but you will require your own liability insurance and a minimum deposit may be required. All our Access Platforms have a minimum hire charge, see Operated hire page for more details, travel costs to and from our base (SE27) are included in the minimum cost / hours quoted, additional costs will apply after the minimum hire period or jobs outside our normal area
